Welcome to the 2025 GPRFC summer tournament
GPRFC is about to enter its 20th year, going from strength to strength, having teams from reception to U18, a girls U9 team and an adults team for the 24/25 season.

At this year's tournament we welcome teams from U7, U9, U11, U13 and Girls U9 and U10. This tournament has been designed to give maximum playing time, no team is going home early!

There will be a total of 96 teams with 288 games over the two days!!

We as a club are running our online scoring system for the sixth year which will be updated as soon as results are received enabling the results to be shown on your smartphone, along with league standings and fixtures. Please give any feedback that you may have.

Please support all the teams and players and remember this is a childrens tournament.

Tournament General Rules
GRANGE PARK RANGERS TOURNAMENT 2025 GENERAL RULES

EACH AGE GROUP WILL HAVE THEIR SPECIFIC RULES WHICH WILL BE DISPLAYED IN THE PAVILION AND ALSO EMAILED TO COACHES PRIOR TO THE TOURNAMENT.

EXCEPT WHERE THESE RULES DIFFER, THE LAWS OF ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL WILL APPLY.

ALL TEAMS MUST REPORT TO THE RESULTS AREA NO LATER THAN 9:00AM, FIRST GAME FOR BOYS IS 9:30AM, GIRLS KO AT 9:20AM

ALL TEAMS WILL BE PLAYING UP TO THE NEXT SEASON FORMAT. EG. U8 WILL GO FROM 5V5 TO 7V7, THIS APPLIES TO ALL AGE GROUPS BUT MAY ONLY AFFECT THE BALL SIZE.

THE OFFSIDE RULE IS IN EFFECT WHERE APPLICABLE. ALL TEAMS MUST SUPPLY A LINE PERSON, FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN A POINTS DEDUCTION. FLAGS WILL BE SUPPLIED.

ALL GAMES ARE ONE WAY, COIN TOSS WILL DECIDE WHO GETS KICK OFF.

ROLLING SUBS WITH REFEREE’S PERMISSION.

ALL REFEREE’S DECISIONS ARE FINAL IN RELATION TO THE FIELD OF PLAY AND ARE BEYOND REPROACH, THE GPRFC TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE OR ORGANISERS WILL NOT ENTER INTO DISCUSSION ABOUT REFEREES

PLAYERS CANNOT PLAY FOR 2 TEAMS. TEAM USING THE PLAYER WILL HAVE A POINTS DEDUCTION, TEAM SUPPLYING THE PLAYER MAY ALSO FACE A POINTS DEDUCTION

ALL PLAYERS MUST WEAR SHINGUARDS.

FIRST NAMED TEAM ARE TO SUPPLY THE RELEVANT SIZE MATCHBALL

ALL TEAMS MUST HAVE BIBS IN CASE OF COLOUR CLASH. SECOND NAMED TEAM WILL WEAR THEM IF REFEREE DEEMS IT NECESSARY

ONLY COACHES ARE ALLOWED ON THE COACHES SIDE OF THE PITCH (3 MAX)

REGISTRATION CARDS MUST BE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. GUEST PLAYERS ARE ALLOWED WITH PHOTO/AGE ID. WITH COMMITTEE APPROVAL. NO ACADEMY PLAYERS.

U7, U9, U11, U13, AND GIRLS WILL BE PLAYING FOR A CUP AND PLATE IN 2 LEAGUES, MORNING GAMES WILL DECIDE WHICH COMPETITION WILL BE ENTERED INTO IN THE AFTERNOON. TOP HALF OF EACH MORNING WILL GO THROUGH TO THE CUP, REMAINING TEAMS WILL GO THROUGH TO THE PLATE. FIXTURES WILL BE GENERATED FOR THE AFTERNOON WHEN ALL RESULTS FROM THE MORNING ARE COLLATED.

RETREAT RULE IS IN OPERATION FROM AGES U7 UP TO AND INCLUDING U9

WINNERS OF THE CUP/PLATE WILL RECEIVE A CUP WITH PLAYERS RECEIVING A MEDAL. RUNNER UP TEAM WILL RECEIVE A TROPHY ONLY. PRESENTATION WILL BE AFTER ALL RESULTS ARE COLLATED. WHICH WILL BE APPRX 20-30MINS AFTER LAST GAME HAS COMMENCED. THESE ARE ON THE COMPETITION OVERVIEW AND OUTSIDE THE PAVILION.

LEAGUE POINTS WILL DECIDE THE WINNERS OF EACH LEAGUE (3 POINTS FOR A WIN, 1 POINT FOR A DRAW, 0 POINTS FOR A LOSS), IF TIED ON POINTS IT WILL BE DECIDED ON GOAL DIFFERENCE, GOALS SCORED AND HEAD TO HEAD RESULTS. IF STILL TIED A PENALTY SHOOT OUT WILL DECIDE THE OVERALL WINNER.

THE HEADING RULE WILL BE THE SAME AS CURRENT SEASON (24-25) AGE GROUPS

TIMEWASTING WILL BE PENALISED WITH A FREE KICK AGAINST THE OFFENDING TEAM, IF THE TEAM PERSISTS THEN THE FREE KICK WILL BE MOVED 5 YARDS CLOSER FOR 5v5 + 7v7 AND 10 YARDS CLOSER FOR 9v9 + 11v11

THERE ARE ONLY DIRECT FREE KICKS FOR U9 AND BELOW

5V5 AND 7V7 FREE KICKS WILL NEED TO RETREAT 5 YARDS. 9V9 AND 11V11 WILL NEED TO RETREAT 10 YARDS

PASS BACK RULE IS IN EFFECT FROM U10 UPWARDS

IF A TEAM IS LATE TO THEIR FIXTURE BY HALF OF THEIR ALLOTTED TIME (5MINS FOR A 10 MIN WINDOW) THEY WILL LOSE THE GAME 2-0. PLEASE KEEP AN EYE ON THE TOURNAMENT APP AND ALSO IF PITCHES ARE RUNNING TO TIME

COACHES ARE REMINDED IT IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE NO PLAYER PLAYS FOR LONGER THAN THE ALLOWED TIME FOR THEIR AGE GROUP. ANY TEAM FOUND TO BE IN BREACH OF THIS RULE WILL FACE A POINTS DEDUCTION OR REMOVAL FROM THE COMPETITION AND ALSO BE REPORTED TO THE FA.

EVERY TEAM MUST HAVE A FULL FIRST AID KIT AND APPOINTED FIRST AIDER (CAN BE THE COACH)

AS THIS IS A CHILDRENS TOURNAMENT THERE IS STRICTLY NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED, ANYONE IN BREACH OF THIS WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE SITE, REFUSAL WILL RESULT IN SANCTIONS AGAINST THE TEAM

NO SMOKING OR VAPING OF ANY KIND PITCHSIDE

THE FA RESPECT RULES WILL BE IN EFFECT, RESPECT MARSHALLS WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE TO OBSERVE BEHAVIOUR BOTH POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE AND WILL REPORT BACK TO THE GPRFC TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE.

COACHES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR PLAYERS AND SPECTATORS

IF A PLAYER IS YELLOW CARDED THEY WILL MISS THE NEXT GAME, IF THEY ARE RED CARDED THEY WILL TAKE NO FURTHER PART IN THE COMPETITION

ANY BEHAVIOUR THAT IS DEEMED UNNACCEPTABLE BY OFFICIALS OR GPRFC REPRESENTATIVES COULD RESULT IN PLAYER/SPECTATOR/COACH/TEAM TAKING NO FURTHER PART IN THE COMPETITION

SPECTATORS MUST REMAIN BEHIND THE ALLOCATED BARRIERS, NOBODY IS ALLOWED BEHIND THE GOAL AREA. ONLY COACHES ARE ALLOWED ON THE COACHING SIDE.

QUERIES/COMPLAINTS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED FROM THE NAMED COACH/COACHES

COACHES ARE TO CHECK AND SIGN UNDENEATH THEIR TEAM NAME TO CONFIRM SCORE.

U7-U13 AND GIRLS INCLUSIVE WILL HAVE A TOP GOAL SCORER AWARD FOR EACH AGE GROUP, COACHES ARE TO WRITE THE NAMES OF THE SCORER ON THE REVERSE OF THE RESULT SLIP. IF THERE IS AN AMENDMENT OR OMISSION THE NAME WILL ONLY BE AMENDED THROUGH THE TEAM COACH, WE WILL NOT ACCEPT CHANGES FROM PLAYERS/SPECTATORS
 
ANY SITUATION NOT COVERED BY THESE RULES WILL BE DEALT WITH BY THE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE WHOSE DECISION WILL BE FINAL.
Timings For The Day
  • All teams to register by 8:45
  • all leagues have their first game at 09:30 EXCEPT GIRLS who will start at 9:20am
  • Timings are tight, there is only 2 or 3 minutes between games therefore the pitches must be cleared ASAP
  • Do not warm up on pitches, Do not pose for photos aftrer the game etc, please do this off the pitch before the game, the start time is the time of KO, not the time when you sort out your formation or give a pep talk
  • All leagues have lunches built in, these are also there to use as a buffer if we are over running. For example if there is a 30min lunch period but the age group is 20mins behind schedule then in effect there is only a 10min lunch
  • If you are late to your KO by more than half of the playing time (5 mins for a 10 min window) you will lose that game 2-0. Please keep an eye on the app to see if games are runing to schedule and be ready by the pitch when the game prior to yours is being played
  • presentations will be approximately 20-30mins after the start of the last scheduled game in that league just outside the pavilion
